Hafsrød may seem way into the woods, but you are surprisingly close to the big cities of Scandinavia. We want to make sure our guests get safest and most environmentally friendly travel possible. Here’s how to get to us:

Take the train

The nearest train station is Halden station. The station can be reach by train service between Oslo and Gothenburg (Østfoldbanen).

Rent a car

If you want to rent a car to get to us, there are many options, depending on where you start your journey.

From Oslo Airport there are several companies offering rental cars. Check them out here.

From Gothenburg – Landvetter Airport there are several companies offering rental cars. Check them out here.

From Halden train station, you can rent a car via Hertz, and get the car delivered at the train station. Booking is done through their web page, hertz.no, where you inform that you want the package deal with Hafsrød.

You will then be offered to choose between the following packages of electric cars*:

Car group C55 (e.g. Id.3, Kona. Range varies) – NOK 750 per day, including delivery fee to Halden train station.

Car group P55 (e.g. C40, Id.4. Range varies) – NOK 850 per day, including delivery fee to Halden train station.

Other useful information

Unfortunately, there are no car charging options at Hafsrød, but if you choose a vehicle with enough range, it will not be a problem to choose more environmentally friendly solutions to get to us. You can find the nearest charging station here.
